AGM and Dinner 2011 Friday 11 November
We hope you all have Friday 11 November in your diaries for our annual general meeting and dinner (which will include the annual awards ceremony). We will once again be heading to Chez Gerard on the Southbank (the exact address is 9 Belvedere Road, Southbank, SE1 8YL).
The AGM will take place at 6.45 and dinner will be served at 7.45. Tickets are £30 each. This includes a three course meal and the service charge. We would be grateful if you could make your food choices in advance. The set menu for the evening is: Starters Soupe du jour (v) Today's seasonal soup Salade de chèvre chaud (v) Grilled goats cheese on toasted crouton with little gem lettuce, black olives and marinated tomatoes Terrine de foies de volaille Chicken liver terrine with spiced pear chutney and toasted baguette Mains Filet de saumon grille Grilled salmon fillet with lyonnaise potatoes winter green and hollandaise sauce Demi poulet grillé Half a free-range 'Cou Nu' chicken with French fries Navarin d'agneau Braised lamb with wine, tomatoes, root vegetables and ratte potatoes Desserts Petit pot au chocolat et au gingembre (v) Chocolate and stem ginger mousse pot with langues de chat biscuits Crème brulee (v) Rich vanilla egg custard with sable biscuits Choix de glaces et sorbets (v) Our selection of dairy ice creams (chocolate, vanilla, cappuccino) The vegetarian choices are: Starters Soupe du jour (v) Today's seasonal soup Salade de chèvre chaud (v) Grilled goat's cheese on a toasted crouton with little gem lettuce, black olives and marinated tomatoes Mains Risotto à la courge "noix de beurre" (v) Butternut squash risotto with toasted pumpkin seeds and chives Charlotte de légumes aux champignons (v) A timbale of carrot and courgette filled with spinach, roasted red peppers, mushroom and leek duxelles, served with creamy goat's cheese sauce Dessert is the same as above. Drinks As usual drinks should be paid for on the night separately. Quiz Instead of a raffle Matthew Berry will again host a quiz for which we will charge a £5 entry fee.
