Hillyard masters golf course & Mohammed

Hillyard masters golf course & Mohammed

It was a bank holiday weekend of sporting triumph for Noah Hillyard, who shot 84 (12 over par) to take the individual plaudits on Jesters Golf Day at a sweltering Surrey National. And the very next day, Noah found himself opening the bowling to fellow Jester Adnan Mohammed for Hampstead against Cryptics CC. The contest did not last long as Adnan's remodelled technique was well and truly dismantled. Happily, the agricultural dismissal was captured on camera... What happened ne

News: Golf Day venue is Surrey National

This year's Jesters Golf Day will be held on Sunday 27 August. The venue is the Surrey National in Chaldon. There are currently six Jesters signed up with tee times at 2.16pm and 2.24pm, but there is room for more. And, at £20 a head, it's very reasonably priced. Please contact Jonny Bridcut if you fancy playing... Crime against golf fashion

Report: 99 trumps 74 at Middleton Stoney

Jesters 99 all out (Murphy 31) Middleton Stoney 74 all out (Bridcut 3-10, Mumby 3-25, Mohammed 3-30) Won by 25 runs We edged a low scoring thriller on a challenging surface at Middleton Stoney. Bowled out for 99 in the 40th over, the odds were stacked heavily against us but three wickets apiece for Jonny Bridcut, Nick Mumby & Adnan Mohammed helped pull off the most unlikely of wins just before the rains arrived. Skipper John Murphy, who biffed a crucial 31, will pick up the s

Report: Chobham loss despite Harris heroics

Chobham 189-8 (Harris 3-27) Jesters 180 all out (Harris 66, Alluri 29) Lost by 9 runs A wonderful recovery at Chobham looked like delivering victory but an incredible catch to dismiss Louis Harris in full flight turned the game in the home side’s favour. Match manager Andrew Short elaborates… Catches win matches is one of the most enduring cricketing clichés. But rarely has it been more appropriate than at Chobham after Louis Harris had rescued the Jesters innings and appeare

Report: Fair weather at last for Faire win

Faire Is The XI 95 all out (Chak 2-9, Mohammed 2-14) Jesters 99-5 (Verma 31, Padaki 25) Jesters won by 5 wickets After losing the last two fixtures to rain, it was a relief to take the field against Faire Is The XI at Chiswick House. Faire were skittled for 95 in the 35th over with two wickets apiece for Phil Berman, Jonny Bridcut, DJ Chak and Adnan Mohammed. We did our very best to mess up the chase, slipping from 68-1 to 90-5. Match manager Jonny Bridcut's valiant attempt t
