Faire is foul, and foul is Faire

Jesters 192-7 (Hudson 73, Mohammed 40)

Faire is the XI 193-4 (Chak 3-33) Lost by 6 wickets

Our unbeaten start to the season is no longer as Faire comfortably chased 192 to win in a 40 over contest at Chiswick House. Robbie Hudson struck a pleasing 73 and DJ Chak gave us hope with some late wickets but it was too little too late...

Things had looked so much rosier earlier in the contest as openers Hudson and Adnan Mohammed put on 96 for the first wicket. But once Mohammed had been castled for 40, the rot set in as five quick wickets fell, including that of Robbie for a well constructed 73. A late rally from DJ Chak (24) and Noah Hillyard (26) got the total up to 192 off the allotted 40 overs.

What followed was one of the less memorable Jesters fielding performances. Despite a tight spell from Nick Mumby and three late wickets for Chak, Faire were never truly troubled, especially during a second wicket stand of 102, as they eased home with seven balls to spare.
