After our thrilling win at Bishop's Stortford in 2015, there were high hopes of another classic following fixture cancellations in 2016 and 2017.

Our middle order duly obliged, turning a serene chase into a knee-knocking scramble for victory in the penultimate over.

Chasing 196, 132-2 became 168-6 became 187-8 but stand-in skipper Adnan Mohammed, DJ Chak (who had earlier bagged three wickets) and John Murphy - with a trademark lusty lofted blow - rescued the situation after excellent knocks by Mike Palmer (62), Robbie Hudson (42) and Alex Smith (43) had laid a sturdy foundation.
