Louis Harris 'banging' half century streamed live on TikTok at Totteridge

Jesters CC 164-8 (L Harris 55, Mitesh 38)

Totteridge Millhillians 168-6 (Nag 2-19, Chak 2-24)

Lost by 4 wickets

We ended the season with defeat at Totteridge & Millhillians on a lovely late September afternoon. This match was, as always, played in the memory of Adnan Mohammed's father, Alam.

Batting first on a bit of a pudding, Mitesh's patient 38 and Louis Harris' forceful 55 built a fine foundation. The pair put on 83 for the second wicket.

The innings featured a Jesters first - it was streamed live on social media platform TikTok (see picture below), with Headmaster Harris' "banging knock" a big highlight for his army of young fans. This was the Louis' first bat of the season and he took a bold approach from the off, smearing a number of characteristic boundaries over mid-on and mid-wicket. He succumbed shortly after reaching his half-century and our innings lost its way. 164-8 off the allotted 40 felt well short of par.

Skipper Adnan's innings was over in the blink of an eye but he soon had the rest of his team-mates bowling at him in the nets!

Two quick wickets from DJ Chak gave us false hope, with Totteridge's third wicket pair riding their luck to rack up a century partnership that effectively took the game away from us. Although Sarbajeet Nag struck twice during a rare spell, the home team were always ahead of the rate and eased home by four wickets with three overs to spare.
