We slipped to an ignominious defeat - only the second of the season - at Ascott Park against fellow wanderers The Bedu. Despite a solid start by openers Adnan Mohammed and Ollie Doward, ten wickets fell for 83 runs. We were undone, not for the first time, by injudicious shot selection in the face of the nagging accuracy of Dan Hayes who bowled 17 unbroken overs for his five-for.

Regular Jesters tourists Saj Zaib and Joe Phelan knocked off the runs without fuss as we toiled in the heat. Skipper Louis Harris will provide an explanation in due course...
